Il\u00a0s&rsquo;est rendu au\u00a0Japon en 1969 o\u00f9\u00a0il a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 le japonais et le bouddhisme pendant huit ans. Il s&rsquo;est install\u00e9 avec sa famille \u00e0 Paris en 1977. L\u00e0, il a continu\u00e9 sa recherche sur le bouddhisme avant d&rsquo;enseigner \u00e0 l&rsquo;Institut de science et de th\u00e9ologie des religions de Paris,\u00a0dont il a \u00e9t\u00e9 le directeur adjoint pendant une vingtaine d&rsquo;ann\u00e9es. Actuellement \u00e0 la retraite, il continue \u00e0 \u00e9crire sur le bouddhisme et sur le dialogue, tout en enseignant dans plusieurs monast\u00e8res et grands s\u00e9minaires.\u00a0<\/span><br \/><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 12px; color: #000000;\">Une participation libre sera demand\u00e9e pour cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement au d\u00e9but de la conf\u00e9rence.
